Dr.
Elliott graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1999
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, as well
as, her Doctor of Optometry degree. She received several
awards while at the University of Waterloo including the
Corning Low Vision Award, The Canadian Contact Lens Society
Prize and two scholarships for summer research.
Dr.
Elliott has worked for 4 years at the Centre for Contact
Lens Research in Waterloo conducting research primarily
in the area of dry eye. She has published many research
papers and has been an associate editor of Practical Optometry
(research journal).
Currently Dr. Elliott is the chairperson of the Motor Vehicle
taskforce for the B.C. Association of Optometrists. In this
role Dr. Elliott is a member of the Driver's Fitness Advisory
Committee. This Committee give advice to the Superintendent
of Motor Vehicles about health conditions affecting the
ability to drive.
Dr. Elliott is also an active member of the White Rock Rotary Club which
is a service club involved in both local and international charities.
Dr.
Elliott is the primary Optometrist at Spectrum Optometry
since she took over ownership the clinic in 2002.
