Dr.
Stephanie Gautier
|
Dr.
Stephanie Gautier was born and raised in Kelowna, B.C. She
completed her BSc in Microbiology and Immunology at the
University of British Columbia. During this time, she worked
at the BC Cancer Agency conducting research and publishing
several articles. In 2009, Dr. Gautier completed her Doctor
of Optometry at the University of Waterloo, graduating as
the top academic student in her class. She received several
awards including the College of Optometrists of Ontario
General Proficiency Medal, the Abbot Medical Optics General
Proficiency Award, and the Award in Ocular Physiology.
Dr.
Gautier joined as an associate with Spectrum Optometry in
June 2009. In addition to private practice, she travels
to Haida Gwaii performing eye examinations for the local
First Nations community. Dr. Gautier has also volunteered
in northern Chile as an optometrist with the Lions Club
International. She is currently a member of the Peace Arch
Monarch Lions Club as well as a Big Sister with the Big
Sister Program. She is also an active member of the College
of Optometrists of British Columbia, currently serving on
the Quality Assurance Committee. She enjoys running, snowboarding
and yoga.
